Start with a little history of this bird
This budgerigar is a parakeet species, so it is also called budgies parrot.
They are called in different names in many countries.
Do you know this budgies is not an Indian bird?
The origin species of this bird is living in 'Australia'
The first person to bring this bird describe in 1805 by George Shaw, an English botanist who was also a zoologist.
and given its current binomial name (BUDGERIGAR) by another English ornithologist John Gould in 1840 .
The first breeding of this bird began in Britain in 1870.
And as a result of breeding in different ways today, many species are found in different colors.
For example - Crested, Yellow face, Golden face, Spangle, Opaline, red eye etc.
budgies are the only species in the genus melopsittacus
Its original color is green with yellow and black spots

Now let's know about its maintenance
You will be surprised to know that this budgies is the third highest animal in the world that we live in at home, after 'dogs' and 'cats' ..?

They are usually a little scary and shy nature, so it is better to refrain from bothering them
Without going to the food and clearing the cages can be less to them
The average life expectancy of  budgies is 5/6 years and they started breeding after 6/8 months of age.
Budgies are breed usually 4/5 times a year. Once in 3/4 to 12/15 eggs can be seen.
After 18/20 days of eggs.. the baby starts to go out one by one.
Their eyes opening started in 8/10 days after the baby was out.
And after 28/30 days they started eating their own food.

Many people upbringing budgies but some of them do not know much about their maintenance, as a result they have to face many problems, such as

How do you know if the bird has fever?

If you see that a bird is a little quieter, or is sitting in the pip-kin, not associating with others, or sitting in the body a little bit, then that bird will be suffering from fever.



Care and cure -

First of all we have to remember that they are wild animals? So they have to take care of them in the way that these birds are naturally.
What should be the cage size? I have seen many people keeps their birds in the very small size cage
Someone kept three or four pair birds or more birds in two to three feet cage. Which are not fair at all
Think of how they will live normal life in this place?
I know.. how much cage spray can fill the entire jungle or complete sky in any way because it is impossible. .
But lesser cages should be kept so low that the birds may fly a little bit.
So for a pair of birds (30 × 18 × 18) inches can be used in the minimum size of the cage

Food

Minerals

Mineral is a very important food for budgies they should definitely be given

The eggs can be mashed and mixed with rice or you can make any leafy vegetables or fruit salad above.

Medicine
Sunlight is a very important and necessary for the budgies parrot. Keep the birds in such a place that they get sunlight for at least 3/4 hours a day. But do not keep regularly in the full sunlight all day. For example, I have kept my bird in such a place, until sunrise till 10 am and after that it goes to the shadow .

If you follow the above dietary rules and regulations, then the bird is not sick, but if your bird are sick, I can name a few medicines as given below.

➤ Thin and smelly excrement - flagyl (or keep the bird in a sunny day 2/3 days)
➤ Fever - doxycycline (or any child can give medicine for fever)
➤ Watering through the eyes - resplus
➤ Multivitamin - macalvit, vimeral


Or go to a drug store and take them according to their advice
Many people use different types of medicines but I do not need anything.

The method of feeding medicine

Generally mixing with water
4/5 milliliters of medicine. According to one liter of water
If the bird is less then you will understand the calculation a bit (I guess a bird should be given one drop)

Caution
➤ The best way to feed the medicine is by Caught the sick bird and feeding it through the dropper.
In this, medicines are not wasted, and pure medicines (water mixed) go into the stomach of the bird. But it is a little difficult?
➤ The best method of medicine with water is to remove water and food from the bird's cage in the day before yesterday evening. The next morning, the water mixed with the medicines will be given  Will see they eaten properly. Then give food.
➤ Remove the mixed mixture after 3/4 hours and give fresh water.

➤ On the day when the medicine is given, do not give any vegetables or rice, only dry grains.
➤ This procedure can also be used to feed vegetables, fruits or eggs except the grains.
➤ Water will always be clean and fresh.


What should be done in the summer

Try it in the summer so that the sunlight takes a little less. With a large amount of water, they will be able to take bath in their time. Arrange to change the water every day. At this time the vegetables or fruits can be given for one or two days. Give the boiled eggs to 2 weeks instead of 1 week. Also, turn off oily grains completely. Because their body becomes more hot in it.


What to do in the winter

Do the opposite in the winter. Put a little more sunshine. Give the eggs every week. Give oily grains. In addition to this, after the afternoon, it is very important to keep the covered bird cage, it may be birds can feel cold.

What should be done the rainy season

In the rainy season, Be careful.. there will not be direct rain in the cage.
